An embroidery machine that breaks thread every few thousand stitches will cost you more in ruined shirts than in repair. Most of it comes down to timing, the hook and needle relationship, a nicked thread path, or a rotary hook that has taken a hit. We work on single-needle home units and on commercial multi-head machines, in the shop or at your storefront.

The thread breaks every few thousand stitches

The stitched sample tells a technician more than a description ever will. Bring the fabric, the backing, and the thread you are using if you can.

We check timing, the thread path and the tension system, then tell you what is actually causing the breaks. There is no charge for the look.

Repair and dial in
Timing, hook, tension, trimmers and drive belts. If a part is worn we replace it, and we keep parts for older heads that are out of production.

We run a design that pushes the machine, not a two-inch test, so you can see it hold thread through a full sew-out.
Common questions
Do you service commercial multi-head machines?
Yes. We service single-head and multi-head commercial embroidery machines, including older heads that are no longer supported. For machines that cannot leave your shop we come to you within about 150 miles of Clearwater.
Thread breaks are ruining my run. Is that a timing problem?
Sometimes, but not always. It can be a burr in the thread path, a nicked rotary hook, a weak check spring, dry bearings, or bobbin tension. A technician can usually find it quickly. Call (727) 321-9344 for a free estimate.
Can you fix an error code?
Usually. An error code is the machine reporting a sensor, a motor or a jam. We trace the code to the cause. If a board is no longer made anywhere, we will tell you that instead of charging you to chase it.
Do you work on the sewing side of a combination machine?
Yes. Many home machines sew and embroider. We service both sides, including the feed system, tension, and the embroidery unit that clips on.
My hooping looks fine but the design still puckers. Can you help?
Yes. Puckering usually comes from a mix of hoop tension, backing choice and machine tension. We check the machine, then show you the difference on a test sew-out so you can see what changed.
