Industrial Sewing Machine Repair
Shop service in Clearwater, on-site service within 150 miles.
When a production machine goes down, the machine is not the only thing that stops. We service lockstitch, walking foot, compound feed, bar tack and overlock machines for factories, upholstery shops, canvas shops and alteration rooms. Call (727) 321-9344 and a technician will talk through the problem with you at no charge.
What the service includes
- Needle and hook timing, feed timing and hook clearance set to spec
- Clutch motor to servo motor conversions, plus new pedals and linkage
- Walking foot, compound feed and roller foot mechanisms rebuilt
- Bar tack, buttonhole and cycle machines put back on cycle
- Oil pumps, wicks and reservoirs cleaned so the head oils itself again
- Thread trimmers, back tack solenoids and safety clutches adjusted
- Table wiring, switches and lights repaired at the stand
- Machines set up and timed for your fabric, needle and thread size
Problems we fix every week
If it uses a needle and thread to sew, we repair it. Home machines, industrial machines, embroidery machines, sergers, quilting machines and antiques.
The machine is stuck in reverse and will not sew forward
The foot pedal only runs full speed with no slow start
Oil is leaking out of the head onto the goods
The bar tack starts but never finishes its cycle
The thread trimmer does not cut and leaves long tails
The safety clutch pops out every time we hit a heavy seam
The needle bar knocks and the needle deflects into the plate
The clutch motor screams and smells hot
It skips stitches on vinyl, webbing and taped seams
The machine came off a truck and nobody here can time it
How a repair works
-
Call with the machine and the problem
Give us the brand, the class or model number off the arm, and what the machine is doing. That tells us what parts to load before we come out.
-
Shop or on-site
Small heads can come to Clearwater. Heads bolted to a table, or a floor with several machines down, are better served on site. We travel about 150 miles.
-
Diagnose and quote
The estimate is free. For an on-site call we quote the visit up front so there is no surprise when the invoice comes.
-
Repair and run it
We repair, re-time, and then run the machine on your material at your speed before we leave, so you know it works on the actual job.
Common questions
Will you come to our plant?
Yes. We service factory floors, upholstery shops, marine canvas shops, awning shops, auto trim shops and alteration rooms within about 150 miles of Clearwater, out to Sarasota, Bradenton, Orlando, Lakeland, Ocala and Fort Myers.
Can you convert a clutch motor to a servo?
Yes, and it is one of the most requested jobs we do. A servo runs quieter, uses less power, and gives operators control at low speed. Call (727) 321-9344 and we will talk through whether it fits your machine and your work.
Do you stock industrial parts?
We keep hooks, bobbin cases, feed dogs, needle plates, knives, loopers, belts, motors, foot controls and needles in industrial sizes. We also carry older parts for machines that are long out of production.
We have twelve machines that have never been serviced. Can you handle that?
Yes. Many shops bring us in for a scheduled pass across the whole floor. We work through the machines, note what each one needs, and get them all sewing the same way.
Are you an authorized service center for our brand?
No. We are an independent repair shop with 65 plus years of industry experience. We are not an authorized dealer or factory service center for any manufacturer, and we service every brand the same way.
