Why Bradenton calls us

Marine canvas is the hardest work a sewing machine can do. Thick acrylic, layered vinyl, heavy bonded thread, and long straight runs all put load on the hook, the feed, and the motor, so a domestic machine will not survive it and a poorly adjusted industrial will fight it. We set these machines up correctly, and at only 40 miles we can be in Bradenton quickly for on-site work, or you can bring a portable head to the shop. Reach us at (727) 321-9344 either way.

Questions from Bradenton customers

My home machine will not go through boat canvas. Can it be modified?

Not really, and we will tell you that straight. A home machine does not have the feed system or the power for layered marine acrylic. We sell used and new machines built for it, and we can show you what fits the work you actually do.

Is Bradenton close enough for a shop visit?

Yes, about 40 miles and under an hour depending on the Skyway and bridge traffic. Mounted canvas machines get on-site service, and small portable heads are easy to bring up to Clearwater on a weekday between 9 and 5.

Is my machine worth repairing?

Often, yes. Machines built years ago were made with metal parts and they last. Many of the ones we see just need a good cleaning, fresh oil and an adjustment. We look at it first and tell you what it needs and what it costs. If the repair costs more than the machine is worth, we say so and you decide.

Do you charge for an estimate?

No. Estimates are free. Bring the machine to the shop, we will look at it, and we will tell you the cost before any billed work is done.

Do I need an appointment?

No. Come by Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and drop the machine off. If you would rather call first, the number is (727) 321-9344.

Is your machine giving you trouble?

Call and tell us what it is doing. The estimate is free and you do not need the model number.
