Janome Sewing Machine Repair
Janome machines are built well and they tend to reward regular service instead of needing rescue. Most of the ones on our bench are here because of a needle strike, a jam, or years of sewing without a cleaning. We are an independent repair shop and not an authorized Janome dealer, and we service every model the same way.
Common problems with these machines
- Needle bar and hook timing knocked out by a needle strike on a thick seam
- Buttonhole and stitch width sensors reporting faults on Memory Craft models
- Bobbin thread nesting after a jam in the top-load bobbin area
- Lint packed under the needle plate and stiff feed on heavily used HD models
- Stepper motor and drive belt wear on higher-end computerized models
- Thread breaks at speed on 1600P and other high-speed straight stitch machines
Models we see often
- HD1000 and HD3000
- Memory Craft series
- Skyline series
- 1600P straight stitch
- Continental series
Hooks, bobbin cases, needle plates, feed dogs and belts for Janome machines are available, and we keep the common ones in stock. For older Memory Craft models we check board and screen availability before recommending that route.
We are an independent repair shop. We do not represent any manufacturer and we have no affiliation with the companies that make these machines. Brand names appear only to describe the machines we service, and each name belongs to its owner.
