Handi Quilter Longarm Repair and Service
A Handi Quilter on a frame is not a machine you carry anywhere, so most of this work happens in your quilting room. We service the sit-down Sixteen models on our bench and the frame machines where they stand, out to about 150 miles from Clearwater. We are an independent repair shop and not an authorized Handi Quilter dealer.
Common problems with these machines
- Stitch regulator losing the encoder signal, so stitch length changes as you move
- Carriage wheels and rails that drag or stick in one spot on the frame
- Hopping foot height set wrong for the batting, which loosens the stitch
- Bobbin tension and thread path causing eyelashes on the back of the quilt
- Needle bar and hook timing off after a ruler-work needle strike
- Frame out of level or out of square, which shows up in the stitch
