Why Cape Coral calls us

Every one of those boats needs a cover, a bimini, or cushions eventually, and the shops making them work on machines that take a beating from thick material and salt air together. Home sewists in the Cape run into the same wall from the other direction, trying to stitch outdoor fabric on a machine built for cotton. We can tell you what a machine can honestly handle, and we sell used and new machines when the answer is that it cannot. Being at the outer edge of our 150-mile range, Cape Coral gets scheduled visits rather than quick runs.

Questions from Cape Coral customers

You are 130 miles away. Do you actually come here?

Yes, Cape Coral is inside our 150-mile on-site radius, and it is the far edge of it. Because of that we plan trips rather than dropping in, so call (727) 321-9344 well before you need us and we will get you on a southwest Florida run.

I want a machine that can handle marine canvas. What should I look for?

A walking-foot machine with a heavy-duty hook, a servo motor for slow-speed control, and the correct needle system for bonded thread. We carry used and new machines that fit that description, and we will match one to the work you do rather than the largest one on the floor.

Is my machine worth repairing?

Often, yes. Machines built years ago were made with metal parts and they last. Many of the ones we see just need a good cleaning, fresh oil and an adjustment. We look at it first and tell you what it needs and what it costs. If the repair costs more than the machine is worth, we say so and you decide.

Do you charge for an estimate?

No. Estimates are free. Bring the machine to the shop, we will look at it, and we will tell you the cost before any billed work is done.

Do I need an appointment?

No. Come by Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and drop the machine off. If you would rather call first, the number is (727) 321-9344.

Is your machine giving you trouble?

Call and tell us what it is doing. The estimate is free and you do not need the model number.
