White Sewing Machine Repair

White Rotary machines in treadle bases and oak cabinets are still turning up in Florida garages and estate sales, and a surprising number of them can be brought back. We also service the later White home machines and Superlock sergers. We are an independent repair shop with no affiliation with the White brand or its later owners.

Common problems with these machines

  • White Rotary treadle machines with dry bearings and cracked treadle belts
  • Missing bobbin cases and shuttles on rotary models
  • Knife and looper wear on Superlock sergers
  • Worn plastic gears and broken bobbin winders on the later models
  • Old motor wiring and foot controls that must be replaced for safe use
  • Tension assemblies packed with old lint and gummed lubricant

Models we see often

  • White Rotary
  • Model 77
  • Model 1477
  • Superlock sergers

For vintage White machines we work almost entirely from used and obsolete parts, including treadle belts, bobbin cases and shuttles. Superlock serger knives and loopers are easier and we keep the common ones on hand.

We are an independent repair shop. We do not represent any manufacturer and we have no affiliation with the companies that make these machines. Brand names appear only to describe the machines we service, and each name belongs to its owner.
